Taylor Swift's X page cannot load posts after her AI-generated NSFW images went viral.
The explicit AI-generated photographs of Swift spread online, particularly on X, showing the singer in provocative and improper positions. The fake images reached tens of millions of people before the platform took them down, and X has since launched another move to prevent the spread.
Taylor Swift's Name Can No Longer Be Searched on X
Swifties noticed that Swift-related posts had been hidden from X - NSFW or not. When users attempt to use "Taylor Swift" on the search bar, the message "Something went wrong. Try reloading" prompts.
Before X hid the posts, Swifties made the phrase "PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT" hit the trending topics list as they voiced out their support for the singer.
One said, "'taylor swift is a billionaire she'll be fine' THAT DOESN'T MEAN U CAN GO AROUND POSTING SEXUAL AI PICS OF HER LIKE A FREAK SHE'S STILL HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS. PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT."
"I am the happiest person alive because the authorities took action and get all the Taylor Swift AI out of X and all social media applications," another wrote, while a third added, "Just bc she's a billionaire doesn't mean you can go around sexualizing her. PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT."
Following the spread, President Joe Biden's Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a statement as they announced they would push Congress to pass laws against it.
The caption read, "The circulation of false images of Taylor Swift are alarming. We know that incidences like this disproportionately impact women and girls. @POTUS is committed to ensuring we reduce the risk of fake AI images through executive action. The work to find real solutions will continue."
