Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion Feud Explained

Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion erupted in a fiery feud on Twitter. This was tipped off by the Houston rapper when she released her newest song, "HISS," which many fans of her revealed to be a diss track against Nicki Minaj.

"These hoes don't be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan's Law. I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y'all don't want me to start," she rapped in her song.

For those who do not know, Megan's Law is a legal jargon that was created to provide the public with information about registered sex offenders. Many perceived this to be a jab against Minaj, whose husband is Kenneth Petty, who was previously convicted for failing to register as a sex offender, and his brother who was also convicted of the same crime.

Minaj was seemingly offended by this, which caused her first to drag Megan Thee Stallion in an indirect tweet, and then release a snippet of a song she had recently made. (via Uproxx)

"The btch fell off, I said get up on your good foot... you have 3 Grammys and you have to learn how to rap on beat," Minaj rapped in reference to Megan Thee Stallion's shooting incident.

The Barbz begged Minaj to release this track, which she later on said was being blocked by its producer LilJuMadeDaBeat, who was also Megan Thee Stallion's producer. Minaj revealed this on Twitter, causing a frenzy.

Ultimately, the record has been greenlit and Minaj announced a release date.

Supposedly, the track will be released on Jan. 28, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. PST, but she clarified it would be pushed to 9:00 p.m., PST.
