Justin Timberlake is trying to make a music comeback but his big plans are constantly being crashed by Britney Spears' fans who are dead set on seeing his downfall.
The "Oops I Did It Again" singer is now calling off the hounds by issuing an apology to her ex-boyfriend for putting him on blast, which resulted in a landslide of hate and backlash going his way.
"I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote in my book," Spears wrote on Instagram. "If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about, I am deeply sorry.
"I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake's new song, 'Selfish.' It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard?"
Spears' fans were shocked and appalled to see her apologize to Timberlake; "Is she hacked?" One wrote.
"OMG. Do we need to free her again?"
"Aww, she's doing charity," another remarked.
"Girl, no."

Spears' fans have been going after the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer for months now, since she released her memoir, "The Woman in Me," due to a particular bombshell of a revelation regarding their relationship over two decades ago.
"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I'd anticipated," the singer wrote about her unexpected pregnancy with Timberlake's baby.
"But Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
According to reports, the "Baby One More Time" singer terminated her pregnancy; this angered fans who began bombarding Timberlake's accounts with hate.

After releasing his first single "Selfish" off his upcoming album, "Everything I Thought It Was," Spears' fans began streaming her song with the same title.
Spears' "Selfish" shot up the music charts, and it was the fans' way of spiting Timberlake.
However, it seems like the "Cry Me a River" singer is unfazed by the hate.
"He's very happy to be performing again and working on new music," a source said. "He's all about having a good time right now.
"He's feeling reinvigorated and is doing what he loves, making the music he loves to create. He's never felt better."
