Foo Fighters Perform With Foo Fighters Tribute Band At UK Show

During an intimate performance in England yesterday (Sept. 10), Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was able to take a breather while another singer jammed with the band.

After joking with members of tribute band The UK Foo Fighters, Grohl invited singer Jay Apperley onstage to perform "White Limo," NME reports. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome... Me!" Grohl said, introducing his doppelganger to the stage. After both singers moshed and hugged, Grohl joked, "I was on vacation for three and a half minutes."

The Foo Fighters, billed as The Holy Shits, tore through a set full of rarities, including "Enough Space," "I'll Stick Around," "Up In Arms" and "The Colour And The Shape." "[It's] a love song - we don't play it enough because when we play it at festivals the line for the toilets get really long," Grohl said about "The Colour And The Shape." I don't think anyone's going anywhere tonight though, if you have to go do it on the person in front of you."

By the end of the night, fans were screaming "Holy Shits, Holy Shits" in order to get the band back onstage for an encore. The Foos complied with "All My Life."

According to recent tweets from the band, they will be performing two more club gigs in the UK before their headline gig at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games this Sunday (Sept. 14). The group's eighth studio effort, Sonic Highways, is due out Nov. 3.

Below are a handful of dates the Foos have scheduled.

09/14: London, UK @ Invictus Games Closing Concert

11/02: New Orleans, LA @ Voodoo Festival
