This is not a drill! SZA just confirmed that she will release a song with Paramore soon after fans shared their sentiments about the two music acts, urging them to collaborate; when is it going to be released?
The R&B star recently answered some fan questions during an interview with Apple Music and she was asked about the status of her project with the trio.
SZA simply answered: "Yeah. Soon, soon... It's in the works." (via Billboard)
Later on, the musician said that her song "F2F," which is under the genre of pop-punk, became one of her favorite tracks to perform on tour.
SZA Sought Help From Hayley Williams for 'SOS' Album
According to Hypebeast, the R&B singer previously revealed in an interview that she kept in touch with frontwoman Hayley Williams as she was experimenting with new sounds.
SZA said she would reach out to the rocker and ask her: "Does it sound like I'm trying to do something that I shouldn't be doing, or does it sound organic?'... 'Because it felt really natural to me, but you're the queen of this, how does it sound to you?' And she'd be like, "This is perfect.""
On the other hand, Williams previously praised the singer when she appeared in an episode of the "Black People Love Paramore" podcast where she was asked which Black artist she wanted to collaborate with in the future.
Her answer? None other than SZA because she said she loves her voice.
"SZA for about six years now has been the one. I'm sending the texts weekly at this point," she added.
SZA Updates
As of this writing, neither SZA nor any members of Paramore has confirmed when the collaboration will be released, but there could be a possibility that the track will be a part of the singer's upcoming project titled "Lana."
However, the record, which is also the deluxe version of "SOS," have been leaked as there were people who released her song without her knowledge.
The singer expressed her disappointment on social media as she wrote: "THIS IS MY LIFE AND MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. YOU ARE A F****** THIEF AND I PROMISE TO PUT MAXIMUM ENERGY INTO HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW."
