Taylor Swift's name can be searched on X again after the social media platform disabled it following the release of her explicit AI photos.
Swifties failed to find Swift-related posts on X after the website temporarily shut down the search page, prompting the message "Something went wrong. Try reloading."
Taylor Swift's Name Is On Search Results Again
X's representative, Joe Benarroch, released a statement on Monday saying that the platform temporarily blocked Swift's name after the emergence of sexually explicit and raunchy images of the singer. At that time, he assured the Swifties that X would "continue to be vigilant for attempts to spread this content and will remove it wherever we find it."
As the "Anti-Hero" singer's fans visited the page a few days later, search results about the songstress finally appeared again.
Users also started planning to "flood" the page with other Swift-related posts to bury the AI images.
One said, "Finally, to flood searches and to bury the images, make random posts that include keyphrases like 'Taylor Swift ai' that actually have nothing to do with it. Upload random images or videos to boost your post in search results too."
"The search ban for Taylor swift is the highest injustice from twitter yet," comedian Jamison Daniel wrote.
"Those Taylor Swift AI porno pics are so disgusting and I denounce the sharing or viewing of those disgusting pics completely!" another reminded everyone. "You should not view these disgusting naked pics and you should not try to search for them on any of those disgusting AI deepfakes porno pic websites!"
Swift's AI photos caused President Joe Biden's Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, to call for Congress to pass laws against such an incident.
"The circulation of false images of Taylor Swift are alarming. We know that incidences like this disproportionately impact women and girls. @POTUS is committed to ensuring we reduce the risk of fake AI images through executive action. The work to find real solutions will continue," the caption on X read.
On the other hand, experts told The Sun how the AI photos negatively affected not only Swift but also every famous person in the world. The incident also caught SAG-AFTRA's attention, with the association branding the images "upsetting, harmful, and deeply concerning."
