Megan Thee Stallion's fans are defending her honor after she was slammed by the Kanka Family for using "Megan's Law" in her diss track, "Hiss."

Loyal Hotties are saying that the Kanka Family couldn't sue Megan Thee Stallion for using such lyric on her song.

Kanka Family Threatening To Sue Megan Thee Stallion

According to TMZ, Richard Kanka, the father of the late Megan Kanka, "dragging his late daughter's name" into the diss track is as "disrespectful as it gets." From his point of view, even though Megan Thee Stallion appears to have shed light on the law "doesn't change his sour feeling" at all toward her usage of the legal jargon.

He also noted that using his daughter's name in such a "graphic/offensive manner" was "highly offensive to the pain his daughter and family felt."

Kanka admitted that he hasn't listened to the song just yet, but upon reading the lyrics, the song is still a "no-go" for him.

These hoes don't be mad at Megan [referring to herself], these hoes mad at Megan's Law," Megan Thee Stallion rapped in a now-famous verse.

Elsewhere in the report, Richard Kanke admitted that the song "left such a bad taste" that he's "actually considering looking into his legal options to see if Meg's track went too far."

However, the outlet says that "there's probably not much he can do on that front" as "artists have liberties when it comes to wordplay/referencing big moments historically."

Megan Thee Stallion Fans Defend Megan's Law Lyric

Meanwhile, over on Reddit, fans of Megan Thee Stallion say that there is nothing wrong on Megan's use of the lyric, while also sympathizing with the bereaved family.

"Well what can you say really? It's his daughter, who left this earth in one of the most horrific ways someone can. He's entitled to his own personal feelings about how his daughter's name and legacy are used. But imo Megan did nothing wrong. The idea of a lawsuit for simply mentioning the law is...beyond silly," a fan wrote.

"if he were to actually take legal action imo nothing would stick. if anything megan could fight that her line led to a surge of people researching the law and being educated on it," another commented.

What Is Megan's Law?

For those who do not know, Megan's Law was an informal name for a federal law in the country requiring law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.

The said name was inspired by the 1994 murder of 7-year-old Megan Kanka, who was raped and murdered by her neighbor, Jesse Timmendequas, who was previously convicted of child molestation.
