Trevor Noah is returning for the fourth time at the Grammys as a host and he recently shared his thoughts about hosting the event. It seems like there's an added pressure for him this year because this would be the first time that he's a nominee and the master of the ceremony all at once.

According to Billboard, the famed television personality is the fifth person to host the Grammy Awards and also a nominee in the same year. However, Kenny Rogers was the only person who successfully won his category in 1980.

This year, the event will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and performers include Dua Lipa, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more.

Noah, being the host this year, is nominated for the category of best comedy album for his "I Wish You Would" project.

Trevor Noah's True Feelings Being a Host and Nominee at the Same Year

In an interview with the outlet, the "Daily Show" host shared his true feelings, saying this year will be an interesting one.

"I've never been nominated and hosting at the same time, so I don't know if the one feeling will overcome the other way or if the two will combine into one," he said.

Trevor Noah added that he hopes that he slip into the zone of hosting then by the time the awarding for his category begin, he have "either completely zoned in" and he hopes to be in the right place by the time.

He further explained that whenever he hosts the show, he's in his head and "preparing for every contingency" that he cannot prepare.

At the same time, he likes to remind himself to have fun because there are a lot of things he could miss if he's leading the show.

Trevor Noah's Post-Grammys Plans

After the ceremony, there are several afterpartys hosted by celebrities so they could celebrate their victories.

However, despite being one of the most important people of the evening, Trevor Noah revealed that he never spent a lot of time at any afterparty before and his record was seven minutes.

"My record was I think seven minutes when we were in Vegas [in 2022]. I sat down at a table at the after party and then I went back to my hotel room and I slept. I am exhausted after the Grammys," he said.
