On Sunday night, as the biggest stars in music compete at the Grammys, the war between Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift will be intense.
At the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the performers will compete in the three biggest categories of Record, Album, and Song of the Year.
However, many fans online and some members of the industry believe there is a competition that extends far beyond the Grammy Awards.
Everyone is anticipating the exact seats that the two will occupy.

One well-placed music insider told Page Six that since they're both huge stars, they'll both be in the front row - but it is impossible that they will be seated together. Otherwise, someone is playing a joke on them.
According to the rules of show business, Rodrigo, who will perform on Sunday, ought to be a member of Swift's team. After all, Swift is eager to support up-and-coming musicians, particularly female artists. She included opening acts such as Gracie Abrams, Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee, and others during the North American leg of her Eras tour last year. But it was obvious that Rodrigo was never extended the same.
One person acquainted with Swift's business affairs told Page Six that she does not think Olivia showed enough respect. She could have been part of Taylor's inner circle and on stage during the Eras tour but she did something to thwart that from happening.
Both celebrities are signed to Universal Music Group (UMG), but since Rodrigo, 20, was made to give Swift, 34, a credit on her song "Deja Vu" and a sizable sum of money in royalties, there have been allegations that the two are not friends at all.
While Page Six has been informed that Swift has no issues with the rising talent, Rodrigo recently declared that she has "no beef" with anyone. However, we also hear that Swift's legal team became involved behind the scenes following the publication of "Deja Vu."
Rodrigo, meantime, has never disputed outright that Swift is the subject of her song "Vampire."
In spite of these disputes, there is no denial that each artist is nonetheless quite successful in their own right. While Swift is still a major player in the music business, Rodrigo's debut single "Driver's License" smashed records and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans will certainly be on these two amazing singers as the Grammy Awards draw near, not just for their possible awards but also for any indications regarding their interpersonal dynamics. Who knows - they might surprise people and actually be good friends on the event!
