Victoria Monét bagged three gramophones at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Engineered Album, and Best R&B Album.
Since winning three out of her six categories she was nominated for, old tweets of Monét manifesting for a Grammy Award has since resurfaced on social media.
Victoria Monét Manifested her Grammy Win
In a February 2013 tweet on Twitter/X, Monét seemed to be giving herself some words of affirmation as she continued to work and hone her craft years ago.
"Stayin in working, while I dream of that Grammy!!!" she said at the time.
Fans are celebrating Monét's recent win on social media, raving about the passion and hard work she has put into her work.
"LETS TALK ABOUT PATIENCE, HARD WORK AND DEDICATION!!," a fan raved.
"A whole decade after and that dream is now a realty," another commented.
"And 11 years later her dreams came true. Keep working and remember the power of the tongue!" someone reminded.
"11 years later and finally your time has come here's to many more," a fourth person chimed in.
Victoria Monét Wins Best New Artist
This wasn't the first time that Victoria Monét was nominated for a Grammy Award. In fact, in 2020, she was nominated for two awards - one for "7 Rings" and "Thank U, Next" - she was listed as Ariana Grande's songwriter. She was also nominated for Best R&B Song for co-writing Chloe X Halle's "Do It."
However, it was only in 2023 that Monét released her debut album, "Jaguar II," which is why she is only eligible for the Best New Artist category.
In her triumphant speech, Monét talked about her beginnings, which moved many.
"You can look at the music industry as soil, and it can be looked at as dirty or it can be looked at as a source of nutrients and water," she said. "My roots have been growing underground unseen for so long, and I feel like today I'm sprouting, finally, above ground."
Many praised Monét for her dedication and determination despite being an unsung hero for so long.
"Victoria Monét and Coco Jones are truly the epitome of delayed NOT denied. They have both been in the industry for years, and could've easily given up or detoured, but instead, they embraced the challenge and are showing us why delayed gratification is worth it in the end," a fan said.
