North West, daughter of Kanye West, has officially stepped into the rap game with her appearance in her father's latest music video alongside Ty Dolla $ign. The visual for "Talking/Once Again" features North and Kanye in the "Talking" segment, while Ty Dolla $ign and his daughter, Jailynn Griffin, make a matching appearance in the "Once Again" portion. Directed by the D'innocenzo brothers, the video was released on Wednesday morning (Feb. 7), just ahead of the Feb. 9 release date for Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign's joint album, "Vultures."
In the video, North showcases her rap skills while getting her hair braided, sporting a coordinated look with her father in black attire. Her infectious chorus, which she debuted at December's Vultures rave in Miami, adds to the catchy vibe of the track. Meanwhile, Ty Dolla $ign delivers a heartfelt verse reflecting on fatherhood and the challenges of raising his daughter, Jailynn.
Kanye West also makes his mark with his signature style, bringing the video to a poignant conclusion. The heartfelt visuals include touching moments between Ty Dolla $ign and his daughter, highlighting the bond between father and child.
Following the video release, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are set to host another listening party for "Vultures" on Thursday night (Feb. 8) in Chicago, Ye's hometown, at the United Center. Despite the project's delays, anticipation is high, with tickets allegedly selling out in just seven minutes.
"Vultures" marks Kanye West's first project since facing backlash for his controversial remarks, with the album's release scheduled for Friday (Feb. 9). The joint effort with Ty Dolla $ign promises to deliver a unique blend of their musical talents, showcasing both artists' creativity and versatility.
