Who knew a wax figure can cause so much hate?
Beyonce at Madame Tussauds
On Thursday, after the 42-year-old singer's wax figure from Madame Tussauds Blackpool was unveiled, irate Beyhive members took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their disapproval of the museum's attempt to create a life-size replica of the 32-time Grammy winner.
One person commented that while the wax figure is pretty, it's certainly not their Queen Beyonce.
"I need them to bring her there while you're making it, or go get an actual picture of her," one said.
A few social media users criticized the wax figure, saying it looked less like the mother-of-three and more like Tyra Banks, 50, Leah Remini, 53, or Rihanna, 35.
One confused X user joked that if the figure hadn't said Beyoncé, she would have walked away thinking it was Leah Remini for sure."
A disgruntled Beyoncé fan questioned why her "face" was consistently messed up by wax figures in museums. 'They did Beyoncé dirty though,' commented another.
Leah Remini for her part, is beyond estatic to be compared to Beyonce.

However, others noted that advancements had been achieved in comparison to the performer's previous wax figurines.
Among all the criticism, one user remarked, "I mean, Beyoncé's new wax figure looks better than the last one, so just give credit where it's due."
The singer's wax figurine was removed in 2017 because it appeared to have been "whitewashed." Many at the time said that the statue resembled Taylor Swift. It was taken "off the floor" for a short while to be "adjusted," but according to TMZ, it was later returned to the museum after being changed to more closely resemble Beyonce's skin tone.
In a statement, Madame Tussauds New York said, "We love, respect, and enjoy a working relationship with Beyoncé... We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure, and she is [back] on display."
Madame Tussauds has a history of letting Beyoncé fans down over the years, beginning with the London Tussaud's branch in 2004. Many people felt that the portrayal of it, which was based on her partying in a minidress with her underwear partially exposed from the back, was rude in addition to being utterly false.
