Although Usher is considered to be a legend in the music industry, he still looks up to other people who are more successful than him aside from making music. More recently, the R&B singer revealed which musician he aspires to be in the future.
Days before he take the stage of the Super Bowl Halftime Show in at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, the singer caught up with Apple Music's Nadeska Alexis to give an insight about the future of his successful career.
"I push myself because that's just a choice. I want to be great. I want to set standards," he said.
The singer added that he wanted to be the standard based on his passion for music and creativity, not just expressing his artistic side through videos.
Usher Aspires to be 50 Cent
Elsewhere in the conversation, the Halftime Show headliner revealed that one of the people he looks up to the most in the industry is 50 Cent.
"You look at 50 Cent, right, he creates Power. You heard the music first then you see the visuals," he said, then added that he's hoping to do more with the brands that he created with the songs.

"It's a matter of managing to monetize at the same time emotionally give people an escape. When you hear a song, you relate to it. It becomes an assistant in your emotional," he explained. (via Billboard)
Usher further noted that what 50 Cent does is more than just music as he also knows how to connect with his audience.
Usher Super Bowl Performance + New Album
The recent news comes after he spoke with ''Good Morning America" to share a few details about his upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this weekend.
He told the outlet that he wanted to pay tribute to Black artists who heavily inspired him as they paved the way for musicians like him to thrive in the industry.
As of this writing, Usher has yet to share the official setlist and special guests for his performance.
On the other hand, the singer will release his new album "Coming home" on Friday, February 9, 2024. It has 20 songs and several collaborations with artists like Jung Kook, H.E.R., Burna Boy, and many more.
