Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton sang their heart out in their new song, "Purple Irises."
The No Doubt singer hinted at her collaboration with her husband by posting a photo of a bouquet of the purple Iris flowers and a note that read, "To: Pretty Girl. Love, Blake." While the post put the rumors to rest, the pair revealed its deeper meaning by confirming their new song.

On Instagram, Stefani began the countdown before the "Purple Irises" release date by sharing a sneak peek of their recording in a studio.
The husband and wife, who wed on July 3, 2021, exchanged lines in the video and sang their parts.
"But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you/Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you," the couple shared. "If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you/Don't let 'em change your mind."
The lyrics also included the lines, "Wonder why you took a risk/On a broken heart you cannot fix" and "No, I never knew a love like this./ Now I'm picking purple irises."
Before the video came out, Shelton and Stefani uploaded a photo with the text "Purple Irises," revealing that the project would arrive on February 9.
Their followers immediately praised the pair and the song, expressing their excitement to finally hear the full version of the track soon.
One said, "Ok!! Did I just hear a NUMBER 1 HIT? YES I DID!!!"
