Is Taylor Swift leaving the music industry after she wraps up her "The Eras" tour?
Puck News revealed that the "You Belong With Me" singer is reportedly making her feature film directorial debut after her tour ends.
Swift is no stranger to directing, as she has been directing her music videos in recent years, and in fact, her "All Too Well" short film almost made it to the Oscar's shortlist.
However, while it did not make it to the Oscars, the 2021 short film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca.
Taylor Swift Making Directorial Debut
As of this writing, nothing is set in stone for the "Look What You Made Me Do" hitmaker, however, her fans are already losing their minds at the possibility of Swift dominating a new field.
"Mother coming to save [the] film industry," one remarked.
"Taylor Swift, the woman that just keeps on giving."
"Oh, Taylor the multi-talented legend that you are!"
This is not the first time there have been rumors that Swift has been planning to penetrate the film industry as a director.
According to The Tennessean last December, the "Cruel Summer" singer's appearance at the premiere of "Poor Things," starring her pal Emma Stone, sort of hinted at it.
Swift signed a deal with Searchlight Pictures for a feature film she wrote and would direct, reports noted.
Taylor Swift Surrounded By Hollywood Giants
Swifts transition to the film industry will most likely be pretty seamless, just like when she transitioned from country music to pop music between her fourth and fifth albums, "Red" and "1989."
After all, the singer is surrounded by Hollywood stars like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Selena Gomez, and more.
Swift has also been rumored to be included in the next "Deadpool" movie, and she also starred in several television shows and the 2010 film "Valentine's Day."
The singer is no stranger to the camera, both as the one acting in front of it or the one directing behind it.
She has been credited as the director of several music videos, including "Bejeweled," "Anti-Hero," "The Man," "Karma," and more.
Fans reminded other netizens: "Mind you this is just the beginning."
"You know the greatest film of all time will actually be made."
