Even though Billy Joel has been in the music industry for decades now, did you know that he never had any concert special in the past? Not anymore as he's set to appear at his first-ever televised broadcast later this year; check out all the details below.
According to Billboard, the musician will appear on "The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden - The Greatest Arena Run of All Time" and it was previewed on Super Bowl via CBS.
The said special will be filmed this coming March 28, 2024, at Madison Square Garden in New York, and it will mark his 100th show at his usual venue.
The first time he took the stage at the venue was in December 14, 1978.

Directed by Paul Dugdale and executive produced by Barry Ehrmann, Steve Cohen, and Paul Dugdale, the concert special will air on April 14, 2024, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT via CBS.
If ever you missed the broadcast on television, it will be available to stream live or on demand across the United States using the Paramount+ and SHOWTIME platforms.
Paramount+ Essential subscribers will get the chance to access it the day after its broadcast on TV.
The upcoming program is a co-production of Sony Music Entertainment and Enliven Entertainment. Sony Music Vision is its distributor.

In other updates about the classic singer, the musician just released his first single after 17 years titled "Turn the Lights Back On."
Last Sunday, he took the Grammys stage and performed it live for the very first time. The track was co-written by Joel, Wayne Hector, Arthur Bacon, and Freddy Wexler.
It became successful as it debuted at number 11 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart just after a day.
In an interview with "Audacy Check In," Joel shared more details about the track as he said, "The melody, the chords, the chord progression, even the time signature was something that struck me immediately, and that's how I relate to music."
Regarding his touring schedule, the musician is set to perform at a series of shows across different stadiums in the United States with Stevie Nicks and Sting.
His next show will be at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on February 24, 2024. He will also visit Arlington, Seattle, Chicago, and more.
All of his stadium shows will happen in between his ongoing residency at Madison Square Garden.
