Giddy up, Bey Hive! The Queen Bee just entered her country music era. Beyoncé made a surprise drop last night at the Super Bowl when her advertisement for Verizon was released and fans have been wondering the meaning behind her new song; check out below to find out more information about her latest single.
Fans were sent into frenzy when Beyoncé collaborated with Verizon for a commercial. The advertisement revolved around the singer breaking the internet but she was challenged if she could break Verizon's connection.
Throughout the short commercial, the singer opened a lemonade stand while wearing her iconic outfit from her "Lemonade" album, performing on top of the Sphere in Las Vegas, launching a robot version of herself, and even becoming the first woman to perform in space.
However, none of that made her break Verizon's connection, so in the end, she made an attempt one last time by telling the viewers that she would drop music.
Beyoncé 'Texas Hold 'Em' Meaning
Just a few moments after Beyoncé's commercial aired, she immediately released two new songs from her upcoming album. These songs were "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages."
According to Nicki Swift, most of the song's lyrics blatantly revolved around the game Texas Hold 'Em where the players should keep their cards close to their chest.
However, since it's a Beyoncé song, there's a deeper meaning which is she wanted people to be vulnerable and open that's why she told her listeners to put their cards down.

In addition, she also referenced her hometown and letting go of things.
"There's a heatwave (There's a heatwave) / Comin' at us (Comin' at us) / Too hot to think straight (Too hot to think straight) / Too cold to panic (Cold to panic) / All of the problems / Just feel dramatic (Just feel dramatic) / And now we're runnin' to the first bar that we find, yeah," the lyrics read.
The singer also noted in the track that there are some problems that are not worth the worry and people should just let it go.
