Carly Pearce and her collaborator, Chris Stapleton, was nominated for a Grammy Award last week for their duet "We Don't Fight Anymore" and she shared more information about the country song in a recent interview.
According to Wilmar Radio, the singer spoke with ABC Audio to reveal more details about the track which revolves around a couple's communication.
"I like to write things that make me feel something, and I think this is a topic that so many people, if they were honest, they have probably lived, are living or will live in their life," she said.
She further noted that her best songs "fall out naturally" and the collaborative track felt important for her.
Later on, Pearce said that she didn't feel like it was a first single off a new album but she loved the feeling, adding, "I love being the exception to the rule. I love making music that makes people think."
Carly Pearce on Grammy Nomination
In 2023, Carly Pearce won her first Grammy ever for the song "Never Wanted to Be That Girl" with Ashley McBryde under the category of best country duo/group performance.
This year, she was nominated under the same category with Chris Stapleton, but they weren't able to snag the award.
The country star spoke with People Magazine to reveal that she purposely didn't watch the nominations, but she later found out the big news when her manager called and told her, "Hey, Grammy nominee."
Later on, Stapleton and his wife called her via FaceTime and they had a little moment which she considered "awesome."
"I mean, these are just huge gifts that you're given as a songwriter and as an artist, and it's just kind of mind-blowing."

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, as reported by Yahoo!, the singer dazzled in an asymmetrical black gown on the red carpet of the Grammy Awards, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Fans should look forward to something new from the singer as Pearce teased that new music is coming on the way.
In other updates about the country singer, she will take the big stage in the coming months as an opening/supporting act for Tim McGra on his "Standing Room Only Tour" which will kick off in Jacksonville, Florida.
