Former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland reportedly walked off the "Today" show were she's supposed to be a guest host along with Hoda Kotb.
According to insider sources, Rowland walked off because of the condition of the dressing room she was delegated to.
Kelly Rowland Walked Off 'Today' Show After Dressing Room Blunder
Page Six sources revealed that Kelly Rowland "dramatically walked out" of the "Today" show after seeing that her dressing room was not "up to snuff."
She's expected to fill in with Jenna Bush Hager with famed broadcaster Hoda Kotb on "Today with Hoda & Jenna." However, she dropped at the last minute because of her dressing room, leaving a scrambling Hoda Kotb worried and alone.
"Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour," a source divulged.
Her sudden exit shocked people from the show because of her "beloved" status on the crew and cast. She was even given a full hour to host so a source said that "it made no sense."
Kelly Rowland Eclipsed By Jennifer Lopez?
Apparently, Rowland's team wanted to be in the green room upstairs because "they didn't like the one she was in," but another diva was in the house - Jennifer Lopez!
Meanwhile, it seemed to not be an industry secret that "Today" dressing rooms weren't the best dressing rooms in all of Hollywood.
Sources say that it's more of a "glorified closet" rather than an actual dressing room.
"They're not nice. It's the oldest building. There are major space limitations, [it's] not glamorous. It's not fresh flowers, and candles and gourmet food. It's basically [a] white box," the source furthered.
However, producers apparently offered the Destiny's Child diva other options, one of which is talent dressing rooms with larger utility makeup and hair spaces.
"They didn't want that. [The show] basically offered up as much as possible, but they weren't happy with it, so they walked and they left," the source furthered
Thankfully, singer Rita Ora was there to take Rowland's place to save the show.
As of this writing, neither NBC nor Kelly Rowland has released a statement addressing the situation.
