Despite outrageous claims that Kelly Rowland walked out of the "TODAY" Show because of an issue with the dressing rooms, a new source revealed that it was something else that triggered the singer.
Before her "exit," Rowland was apparently interviewed by Savannah Guthrie.
Kelly Rowland Left 'TODAY' Show Because Of Dressing Room Drama?
In the past few days, it has been reported that Kelly Rowland walked out of the "TODAY" Show because of an issue with her small dressing rooms.
She's expected to fill in with Jenna Bush Hager with famed broadcaster Hoda Kotb on "Today with Hoda & Jenna." However, she dropped at the last minute because of her dressing room, leaving a scrambling Hoda Kotb worried and alone.
"Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour," a Page Six source revealed.
This left Kotb and producers scrambling to get someone to fill her absence. Rita Ora saved the day when she stepped in.
Earlier this week, Hoda Kotb addressed the rumors, saying that she "loves" Rowlandand that she's willing to share her dressing room, signifying the veracity of the claimed reason.
However, new sources suggest a different reason on why Kelly Rowland left the show abruptly.
Real Reason Why Kelly Rowland Left 'TODAY' Show
According to The Wrap sources, it was because of Savannah Guthrie's aggressive questioning prior to the break when she made her exit.
Rowland was guested to promote her new film, "Mea Culpa" on the morning show. However, instead of being asked by the film, Guthrie pandered her with questions about Beyonce.
"The story was spun that Kelly didn't like her dressing room, but she has been on the 'Today' show numerous times, she and her team know the dressing room set up. That would not come as a surprise at all," the source revealed. "Kelly was upset about Savannah's aggressive questioning about Beyoncé. She and her team were not happy and felt disrespected.
On the Thursday episode of the show, Guthrie kept on asking about Rowland's reaction after Beyonce announced her decision to go to Country music with the arrival of "Renaissance: Act II."
Reportedly, it was also discussed prior to the interview that there should be no questions about Destiny's Child or Beyonce during their conversation.
