The Bridge School Benefit will continue this year despite yearly headliner Neil Young having filed for divorce from Pegi Young, the co-founder of the Bridge School. Now two students from the school have announced the lineup via a YouTube video (see below). This year's event will include Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Florence + The Machine, Tom Jones, Soundgarden, Norah Jones' new group Puss N Boots, and Band of Horses. Pegi Young, who fronts her own band the Survivors, will also perform.
The 28th Bridge School Benefit Concert will take place October 25-26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. As the name suggests, proceeds from the concert help the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs.
Last year's edition featured performances by a reunited Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Queens Of The Stone Age, My Morning Jacket, the Killers, Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Fun., Heart, Arcade Fire, Tom Waits and Diana Krall.
Tickets for the event go on sale September 19 for $150.00, $75.00 for reserved seats, and $35.00 for general admission lawn plus applicable charges. There are a limited number of general admission lawn 4-packs available for $99.00 plus applicable charges.
