Michael Jackson confirmed that he underwent just two nose surgeries despite his evolving appearance.
Putting an end to years of speculation, the iconic pop star's ex-bodyguard recently unveiled the true motive behind Jackson's decision to have his first nose operation in 1979.
Michael Jackson Rhinoplasty
In a new revelation, Matt Fiddes, who collaborated with the iconic "Billie Jean" singer for over ten years, disclosed that despite enduring years of teasing about his nose size, on a recent segment of "The Steven Sulley Study" podcast, Michael Jackson's decision to undergo rhinoplasty was not solely influenced by these taunts.
"He used to get teased by his family a lot over the size of his nose - being called big nose and all of this stuff," the ex-boyguard revealed.
"He used to say his dad used to be the main one. 'You didn't get that from me, you got that from your mom, you didn't get that from my side of the family' - it hurt him a lot."
Matt said that the motivation for his rhinoplasty was a rather severe injury.
Recalling the incident, Matt shared, "Michael had a rigorous routine of dancing for roughly three hours daily. At one point, he was executing an astounding 50 spins consecutively. It was truly remarkable."
However, a misstep led to a fall, resulting in a broken nose.
The former security personnel noted the ongoing evolution of Michael Jackson's physical features over the years in his observation.
"I don't know how many operations he had. It's not a discussion I went into detail with him on but clearly he's had operations on his nose."
During the height of the Grammy winning performer's fame, plastic surgery was considered off-limits, contrasting with the now, where it dominates popular culture and serves as the focal point of numerous reality TV programs.

Matt said, "It just wasn't a thing, so he had to maintain this image because he had record companies behind him who paid him millions - billions."
"But in the end, he would play on that. A lot of times, how the media would have seen him is not how I would have seen him."
"[Michael] would make himself look ridiculous to wind the media up."
Regarding Michael Jackson's evolving skin tone, Matt Fide claimed that the "Thriller" hitmaker suffered from Vitiligo, a fact that was verified during his autopsy.
"The condition appeared in his youth. Regrettably, Michael's face and neck were both affected by it."
In his efforts to conceal the white patches on his skin using makeup, Matt revealed that Michael eventually made the choice to accept them. "He decided to embrace his natural white appearance."
In the past, Michael Jackson maintained that the sole procedures he underwent on his face were two surgeries on his nose to improve his breathing and vocal range.
He refuted any suggestions of modifications to his lips, cheeks, chin, or eyes before his death in June 2009 at the age of 50.
