Calvin Harris Avoiding the Spotlight Once He Turns 50, 'It gets a wee bit... a little bit suspect'

After he turns 50, Calvin Harris will no longer be a DJ...and avoid the spotlight altogether.

He just turned 40 though...so fans still can enjoy him for another decade.

Calvin Harris to Quit Being a DJ

The well-known producer and DJ, who turned 40 in January, has disclosed that when he hits his next big milestone, he intends to cease touring and concentrate on creating music.

He disclosed to UK radio station Capital Dance, "I always said that once I get past 50, I can't see me DJing, man."

When host MistaJam wondered why, given how British DJ Carl Cox is still doing live performances at 61, Calvin said, "It's a certain type of DJing. On the more commercial end, it gets a wee bit... a little bit suspect."

Calvin also wants to avoid the spotlight once he is 50.

He shared, "I think I'd prefer to be in the studio making tunes, like ghost producers. I think that's where the majority of my talent lies, is making songs sound good. So, I would like to make other people's records sound good."

In the upcoming years, he intends to focus more on creating music for other artists, stating, "42, 43-something like that."
