Darius Rucker is no stranger to Fayetteville, North Carolina. He first performed there in 2006 with Hootie and the Blowfish at the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival. As a country solo artist, he took his True Believer tour back this past April. In October, he'll be back in the Fayetteville area performing a free show at Fort Bragg as a way to say "thank you."
On October 11, 2014, the Southern rock band, A Thousand Horses, will open up the show and Darius will take the stage as the headliner. The concert, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, will be held at the Main Post parade Field. No tickets will be required and it will be open to the public as well.
With the show being on a military base, those who wish to attend should be aware that there is a list of prohibited items that there is no leeway on. Anything confiscated at the gate or at the show will not be returned.
If you're not going to be in the Fayetteville / Fort Bragg area next month, you still have plenty of chances to catch Darius in concert on the True Believers Tour. The only catch is that for those shows, you'll have to pay for tickets!
