The public finally had a look at Sinead O'Connor's gravestone seven months after her death.
On July 26, 2023, O'Connor passed away at her London home, leaving her family and fans extremely heartbroken by the loss. They held a funeral in August before putting her to rest at Deansgrange Cemetery.
A Look at Sinead O'Connor's Gravestone
The Mirror UK shared a snap of O'Connor's headstone taken by Arthur Carron Photography.
The gravestone in question, which is in grey stone, has the singer's name, date of birth and the date of her passing. The words "God Is Love" can also be seen written in the middle above an inscription of "Allah is the greatest" in Arabic.
The text confirmed her conversion to Islam, which she did in 2018. She said she had converted and would use Shuhada' Davitt, later Shuhada Sadaqat. She still used her name professionally.
The London Metropolitan Police responded to her London flat, where they found O'Connor dead. They revealed at the time that the cause of death would be determined "within months" once the autopsy was completed.
Ireland's public broadcaster, RTE, received a statement from O'Connor's family hours after she was found unresponsive during a welfare check. The London Metropolitan Police pronounced her death at the scene, though her passing was reportedly not suspicious.

More Details About Sinead O'Connor's Cause of Death
In January, a London coroner's office said O'Connor died of natural causes after authorities conducted an autopsy, per the London Inner South Coroner's Court.
However, her ex-boyfriend Dermot Hayes insisted the "Magdalene" singer died due to a broken heart after losing her child. Shane, 17, went missing from a hospital ward in January 2022 before being found dead.
Reports said he attempted to end his life twice.
"From this you can surmise that a broken heart is a real illness symptom, and a cause of death," he told the Irish Sun (via The Mirror). "It doesn't make Sinead's passing any less painful. It was more to do with a broken heart than anything else."
In the months after Shane's death, O'Connor became noticeably distressed and depressed that she worried everyone when she posted about having no point in living without her son.
