Alleged Victim of Taylor Swift's Father Scott's Assault Willing To Forgive But on 1 Condition

The alleged victim of the assault involving Taylor Swift's father, Scott, broke his silence after the reported incident.

News involving Scott and a paparazzo emerged this week after Taylor and her team celebrated the end of the Australian leg of the Eras Tour in a superyacht in Sydney. The alleged incident reportedly happened following the party at Neutral Bay Wharf.

Alleged Victim Is Willing To Forgive Taylor Swift's Dad

Paparazzo Ben McDonald, 51, spoke to TMZ after the incident and said he would forgive Scott if he just issued an apology following the alleged assault.

He would reportedly accept the apology immediately and drop everything afterward. For what it's worth, the authorities are still looking into the incident despite the patriarch leaving the country already.

"It was a shock," McDonald told News.com.au. "There was no need for it, the security had it under control. I'll leave it in the police's hands now."

Meanwhile, police spokeswoman Alicia McCumstie confirmed to AFP that an investigation has since started after receiving a report about "a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2:30 am, before leaving the location."

The department did not name the involved individuals, though they have since been identified as Scott and McDonald.

Amid the probe, the media outlet released a new video showing a different angle of the alleged assault. It recorded the patriarch guiding his daughter before going back to the back of the vehicle where the paparazzi were waiting; things reportedly began afterward, though the video did not catch the exact event that had happened.

Taylor Swift, Scott Swift's Representative Speak Out

McDonald detailed to AFP how Scott allegedly punched him in the chops, something that reportedly never happened to him in the last 26 years of his career.

He added that he did not know who Scott was until the news emerged.

A Swift family representative responded to a statement to Variety and claimed the incident happened after two people lunged toward Swift and threatened her staff member.

"Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water," the representative said.
