Justin Bieber blew into the music scene with his groundbreaking viral hit song "Baby," and after that, he dropped album after album, and went on tour after tour-however, these days, fans hardly ever even catch a glimpse of the singer; has he retired?
According to USA Today, the last time the Canadian singer's fans saw Bieber in the flesh was during the recent Super Bowl LVIII, on Feb. 11.
He watched the highly anticipated football game with his wife, Hailey; and while his appearance was much appreciated by his fans, they could not help but wonder why the "Boyfriend" singer was not onstage, as Usher's special guest.
As per the Super Bowl Halftime show performer, the singer simply was not up for it; "It didn't work out with Justin," the R&B icon explained.
"I honor and recognize that my brother, I think that it might've been the fact that he's just wanting to tell a different story right now. And I understand that."
Justin Bieber Retires From Music?
The last time Bieber released an album was back in 2021; he dropped his sixth studio album "Justice," which featured a star-studded list of collaborators.
The singer worked with Tori Kelly, Quavo, DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, and Jaden Smith.
The album spawned several chart-topping singles including "Holy," "Lonely," "Anyone," "Hold On," "Peaches," and "Ghost."
He was supposed to go on a world tour in support of the album, but after several shows, it was canceled.
"We regret to inform you that the Justin Bieber shows planned to take place at The O2 arena have been canceled," read a statement.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the "Stay" singer called off the "Justice" world tour due to health concerns.
"After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now," he said.
"So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better."
