In a Facebook post, Cissie expressed her gratitude to everyone who showed love and support to her as she bravely faced the health issue. She reportedly received the latest procedure at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., on February 13.

"Just want to thank you all for your prayers and support it's a hard long journey, but by god's grace I will get through it," she wrote. "I'm staying with my daughter right now but will return home soon. I miss my puppies and some friends there."

The 71-year-old previously confirmed in a previous Facebook post that her cancer returned after 10 years, saying it was worse than the one she had when she was younger.

Upon learning her diagnosis, Cissie admitted to feeling scared and emotional, especially since her mom was no longer there for her.

Despite the permanent absence, she felt whole with the heartfelt messages she received from her followers.

Cissie is Loretta's fourth child after Betty Sue, Jack and Ernest Ray. The latter - Cissie's only surviving sibling - underwent a "lifesaving and life-sustaining measure" for his kidney failure in January.

Loretta Lynn's Cause of Death Revisited

After the recent events in the Lynn family, fans looked back at the time they lost Loretta.

The late "The Pill" hitmaker's publicists and family delivered heartbreaking news in 2020 to confirm that she passed away at her home in Tennessee.

"Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills," the bereaved family said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

While it did not disclose her exact cause of death, the public assumed it was related to the health issues she had suffered from over the years.

She previously had falls and a stroke, leading her to temporarily cancel her shows.

Prior to his death, a death hoax article surfaced in 2019. Her representatives immediately dismissed the claims.
