In his moving retirement speech, Jason Kelce seemed to allude to his brother's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, a couple of times, or at least he seemed to draw some inspiration from her songs.
All Too Well
During a news conference on Monday, the 36-year-old veteran Philadelphia Eagles player said he was hanging up his football cleats after 13 seasons in the league.
The sportsman referenced Taylor Swift's song "All Too Well" when he remarked of his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, "It's only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the city of brotherly love, I knew that relationship all too well."
Wildest Dreams
Jason announced a second song at another point in the announcement, saying, "If you go above and beyond in this city, you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams."
The father of three may have been alluding to Swift's song "Wildest Dreams" in this instance.
While he could be kidding and make light of things by referencing to these songs, the 36-year-old broke down in tears throughout his speech, recalling his childhood football games and the struggles he overcame to become a professional athlete.
