Frontman Scott Stapp of CREED is grateful that they have new fans and surmised what makes them attractive to a new generation.
In a recent interview with Ryan McCredden, he revealed that in the twelve years since he and his bandmates performed their final show, new fans have come into contact with the group's music.
MCCredden suggested that "the social media world of TikTok and Instagram" played a huge part in generating interest in a CREED reunion tour. In response, Stapp said it is likelier that God is the reason.
He said, "I've learned in my journey in sobriety and in recovery that... I believe in God and I believe that God has a plan. And looking at this from a thousand-foot perspective, it just all just seems, to me, without a doubt that God's had a hand in it. And I'm just grateful that I'm included on the ride and I'm just not gonna take a moment for granted and [I'm gonna] try to deliver every night and give the fans what they're asking for."

Stapp added that there is a tmendously favorable reaction to CREED's news that they will be headlining the "Summer Of '99" cruise, which would take place from April 18-22 (the band added a second cruise the following weekend).
This will be the band's first gigs together in 12 years.
Produced by Live Nation, a full-fledged tour titled the "Summer Of '99" tour will begin on July 17 and go through September 28.
The great success of CREED may be attributed in large part to the prolific writing partnership of Tremonti and Stapp, who co-founded the band in 1993. Their captivating blend of catchy tunes, melancholic lyrics, and powerful guitar riffs won them hordes of devoted followers worldwide.
The foursome, which also featured drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall, were the only group in history to have seven straight No. 1 hits on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks after their first two albums were released.
"Weathered," CREED's third album, released in 2001, likewise had its No. 1 debut and yielded many hit singles, including the Top Ten successes "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath."
Despite having declared their split in 2004, CREED temporarily got back together to record "Full Circle" in 2009. "Full Circle" proved the band's remarkable endurance when it opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, despite being heavier than their prior albums.
After splitting up in 2004, CREED got back together for a lengthy tour and the previously stated "Full Circle" album. Although Stapp had a drug-related mental collapse in 2014 and needed many years to rehabilitate, he has subsequently performed and recorded as a solo artist.
