Chris Brown Facing $1.76 Million In Debts
According to The Daily Mail, Chris Brown has been sued by a Los Angeles Court to settle a debt worth $1.76 million from the Popeyes Franchise investment.
BNN reported that City National Bank sued Brown in September 2023 for $2 million, claiming he owed the bank a loan to buy two Popeye's Chicken branches.
The bank alleged that the loan happened in 2018 as they owed $2,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest.
Brown has been listed as the "personal guarantor" on the bank and owes $1.3 million personally. The Los Angeles Court has since revised the payment and revealed that he has to pay $1,760,654.11 within 30 days.
If he fails to pay within the allotted timeframe, the bank will seize his property, money, and wages to satisfy his humongous debt.
