Demi Lovato has been very candid about what she wants for herself - whether it was getting piercings, a new haircut, redefined pronouns, or even her bold fashion choices. The pop star also bared her true feelings about injectables, and she discussed why it shouldn't be a taboo.
Lovato has been fond of expressing her honest opinions on controversial topics, and she did not shy away from explaining her stance on injectables in a new interview.
Demi Lovato Plastic Surgery: Injectables Are Okay!
Contrary to many people's belief, Demi Lovato has never had plastic surgery. Although there have been rumors that she had surgical enhancements, there has been no definite piece of evidence to prove such.
However, Demi Lovato seemed to prefer injectables instead of plastic surgery. Being the new brand ambassador of Xiemin, an anti-wrinkle injection, Lovato shared how the partnership became an empowering moment for her.
"I've always believed in making choices that are empowering, [keep you] true to yourself and help you look and feel your best," she told People Magazine. "I've incorporated Xeomin into my routine every three months, and it gives me the results I want while still looking like myself. There are times I like to get glam and times when I don't like to wear makeup at all, and this gives me the confidence for both."
Unlike many celebrities, Lovato is not someone who gatekeepers her beauty routine.
"I'm always transparent with my fans, and this is something I wanted to share. It normalizes it and takes. the taboo away from injectables," she added. "It's all about what makes you feel like your best self. Don't listen to naysayers. Do what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin."
In addition, Lovato confessed that she's getting injectables every three months to prevent her face from wrinkling. She wants to look especially good for her upcoming wedding with Jordan "Jutes" Lutes.
Demi Lovato Skin Care Routine
Aside from getting injectables, Demi Lovato also shared an ultimate skincare secret.
"I never sleep in my makeup. It doesn't matter how late the night goes, it doesn't matter if I'm up until the morning, I take my makeup off and I do my skincare routine and I'm very diligent about it," she explained.
Cosmopolitan also reports that Lovato uses a cleanser, toner, a day cream, and eye cream in the mornings. She uses the same things at night with a serum and a night cream instead of a day cream. She also peels, scrubs, and masks twice a week.
Despite Demi Lovato's dedicated skincare routine, she knows where to harness this confidence.
"I just know that my happiness doesn't stem from outside validation; it really stems from within," she told the publication.
