She revealed that doctors found out about her condition when she underwent a routine colonoscopy. Dayne considered it a "dark" time, but she was also fortunate as it was detected early on.
"Life is precious... He never even said the stage [of cancer]. All I could do is [think], 'OK, five months ago, I know there was nothing.' So this is early detection," she said. (via People Magazine)
Weeks after her diagnosis, Dayne underwent an operation to remove 10 inches of her colon, and finally, she became cancer-free.
"It took my three months to come through that health challenge. Become your own warrior first! Whether you're in a health crisis or not, the point is feeling good and getting help," she reflected on her cancer journey.
