Beyoncé Country Album Title Revealed: ‘Cowboy Carter’ Amasses Mixed Reactions

Beyoncé took over the world of music when she dropped her house album "Renaissance" in 2022, which contained her hit songs such as "Break My Soul," "Alien Superstar," and many more. In 2024, the singer is expected to hit the charts again, but she's going country this time.

More recently, the Grammy Award-winning singer unveiled the official title of her Act II album, and fans have had mixed reactions.

Since Beyoncé is taking the country route, it's only fitting that she titled her next project "Cowboy Carter," but not everyone was happy about it.

According to Billboard, the singer's Parkwood Entertainment dropped the news about the project when they shared an image on social media showing an empty saddle and a sash with the American flag colors.

The album's name, "Cowboy Carter," was then revealed. The outlet noted that the photo shared online isn't the final album cover yet.

As of this writing, Beyoncé's next project has two singles, "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages." It will be available for streaming on major music platforms starting on March 29, 2024.

Fans Have Mixed Reactions Over 'Cowboy Carter'

After Parkwood Entertainment announced the official title, not all fans liked it, as they wanted Beyoncé to change it.

"Blue, change it please. Name and cover photo I believe in Blue Ivy power!!!!!!!" one wrote.

"Jay came up with this name," another wrote, while another added, "Wow, is it too late to change the title?"

Several limited-edition album covers and vinyl records are now available at her official website for pre-orders. Still, they're only available in Canada and the United States.

What to Expect From Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' Album?

Fans have been expecting many country songs from the record as it will be the overall theme of the project, but Beyoncé has yet to share the entire album tracklist.

More recently, Dolly Parton shared a possible song that is included in the album. In an interview with Knox News, she mentioned that the singer recorded a rendition of the hit song "Jolene," which could also be part of the tracklist.

"I think she's recorded 'Jolene' and I think it's probably gonna be on her country album, which I'm very excited about that," she said. (via Rolling Stone)
