Lil Nas X Dating History Explored: Has Rapper Moved on From Ex Yainer Ariza?

Lil Nas X may be one of the biggest rappers in the music industry, but he does like to keep his private life private, particularly when it comes to dating.

According to reports, the "Call Me By My Name" hitmaker has been publicly linked to one person, Yainer Azira, a dancer.

As of this writing, though, Lil Nas X seems not to be dating anyone following the end of his relationship with Azira in 2021.

Many assume the rapper was too heartbroken by the breakup to get into a new relationship.

However, as per Lil Nas X himself, he simply wants to keep his dating life personal, just as he did with his sexuality before.

Lil Nas X on Representing the LGBTQIA+ Community

During an interview, the "Industry Baby" rapper explained that he almost took his secret of being part of the LGBTQIA+ community to the grave.

"I didn't act on anything until high school - well, middle school, but then high school," he said. "I've had some good boyfriends and some bad ones. A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot."

In a different interview with The Guardian, Lil Nas X explained that he decided to come out to represent his community and be a voice for others.

"The honest truth is, I planned to die with the secret," the rapper added. "But that changed when I became Lil Nas X." He went on to say that now, he "100% [wants] to represent the LGBT community."

Lil Nas X Keeps Dating Life Secret

As per the Who's Dating Who website, Lil Nas X and Azira separated after dating for a couple of months so they could "focus on themselves and their careers."

"I am still very much in love, but I'm, like, trying to manage it," the "That's What I Want" rapper said about his breakup. "I just want to work on music."

However, the rapper also cheekily added that he is not completely closing the doors on love anytime soon: "Every now and then, you know, maybe I'll kiss a guy every blue moon."
