Jack White Blows Away Rest Of Farm Aid Lineup, Debuts New Haircut [VIDEO]

Jack White returned the stage on Saturday night with a new haircut.

The semi-buzzed look served White well as he tore through his 10-song setlist at Farm Aid, a benefit concert founded by Neil Young for family farmers.

The bill featured some big names — Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, John Mellencamp, Young — but White blew away the field.

"The energy level never really went beyond medium-sized," wrote the Raleigh News-Observer. "Until the dinner hour, that is. That's when Jack White came out and blew everyone away, winning the undercard portion of the 16-act Farm Aid program going away. Few contemporary performers exhibit such a keen grasp on the fine art of rock stardom, and White had every last gesture and nuance nailed down to the last detail."

Here was the setlist (via Consequence of Sound):

  1. Icky Thump
  2. Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground
  3. Temporary Ground
  4. Hotel Yorba
  5. Cannon
  6. Lazaretto
  7. We're Going To Be Friends
  8. You Know That I Know
  9. Ball and Biscuit
  10. Seven Nation Army

Check out a couple fan videos from the event, which has been presented in various forms and locations since 1985:
