With a smile on her face, the 55-year-old singer of "My Heart Will Go On," who was recently spotted on a rare trip in New York City earlier this month, wrapped her arms around the 13-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson and seated her 23-year-old eldest son Rene-Charles Angelil in the front.

The singer and music producer Rene Angelil, who lost his fight with throat cancer in 2016, share these three boys.

"Today the world recognizes International SPS Awareness Day. As many of you know, in the fall of 2022, I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible," she said.

The star then emotionally concluded, "I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!' want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS. I want you to know you can do it! We can do it! Love Celine xx..."

She also posted the same message in French.

Uncontrollably stiff and spasming muscles are a symptom of a degenerative illness called Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). In the end, it renders victims into "human statues" by gradually locking the body, preventing movement or speech.

Although there isn't a treatment for SPS, there are things that can be done to lessen symptoms, which Celine said she is looking into. Celine battled her illness in private, but in November of last year, she went to an ice hockey game with her three sons and made her first public appearance in almost three years.

Celine appeared to be in high spirits as she welcomed players and supporters in the locker rooms following the game, according to video that was uploaded online.

The singer surprised everyone by showing up unexpectedly at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards back in February to give Taylor Swift the Album of the Year award.
