After postponing the second part of her Las Vegas residency due to illness, Adele reportedly failed to sell out her homecoming shows in Europe because fans no longer believed she would be competely recovered by then.
Reportedly, some even anticipate that she'll cancel the shows, so they would rather not spend their money now.
The singer, 35, who hasn't toured since 2017, has ten concerts on her schedule in Munich from August 2 to August 24. Adele recently told People that her Vegas residency, which is now expected to conclude in June, was a way for her to reconnect with performing live.
"Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I'll never forget," Adele said. "It's just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I'm bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong!"
Adele's Concert Tickets Not Selling
However, The Sun notes that despite her enormous popularity, thousands of tickets remain for the 80,000-capacity shows on Ticketmaster.
An insider said, "There is some fan reticence about buying the tickets, because people are worried about whether Adele will be well enough to perform them all."
Adele is very well-liked by her fans, and she hasn't said anything in a few weeks since declaring she was sick and taking a rest.
Her fans are, therefore, concerned about her and her expected return date.
Can Adele Recover?
The source said fans should not worry since Adele has a robust support system and access to the best care available in California for anything she needs.
Adele broke the devastating news that all ten March gigs in Las Vegas will be postponed, citing "doctors orders" as the reason for her rest.
This came just days after she had revealed that she had been put on vocal rest. In June, she is scheduled to conclude her stay at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Not all fans can just reschedule.
Several fans are upset that they will not be able to attend the rescheduled dates because they have already paid for hotels and plane tickets for the original dates. Since she has only postponed the gigs rather than cancelled them, fans won't be eligible for a refund.
Unfortunately, and probably why her fans are now more cautious, this isn't the first time the "Easy on Me" singer has had issues with her voice.
The renowned singer had to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal cord in November 2011, and then, in 2017, also had to cancel her Wembley Stadium Concert due to damaged vocal cords.
