Olivia Rodrigo surprised her fans during her concert at United Center in Chicago by announcing that her sophomore album, Guts, will receive the deluxe treatment.
According to Teen Vogue, the "Vampire" hitmaker pulled out a piece of paper that read "Guts Deluxe out Friday," during her performance of "Get Him Back!"
The Grammy-nominated release's deluxe version, Guts (Spilled), will be released on March 22.
Olivia Rodrigo Finally Drops Guts' 5 Bonus Tracks
After much begging and persuading from the Livies, Rodrigo's fanbase, the "Drivers License" singer will include the five bonus tracks previously included in her album's vinyl special editions.
As per Pop Crave, the songs are "Obsessed," "Stranger," Scared of My Guitar," "Girl I've Always Been," and "So American."
Livies are no strangers to the following songs, as many have shared clips of them online, and Rodrigo even included "Obsessed" in the setlist of her Guts World Tour.
In a follow-up social media post, the singer shared a handwritten note about the upcoming album to her fans: "Surprise! Guts (Spilled) is coming March 22nd! It will include new versions of the secret songs from the original Guts vinyl.
"Including 'Obsessed', which I've been having so much fun performing on tour! The deluxe version will also include a brand new song called 'So American' which I'm so stoked for you guys to hear," she added before signing off.
Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour 2024
Rodrigo has been on her Guts World Tour, which kicked off on Feb. 23 and will wrap up on Aug. 17.
The tour will make several stops in major cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
The setlist includes some of her chart-topping hits, such as "Bad Idea, Right?" "Love is Embarrassing," "Lacy," "Jealousy, Jealousy," "Happier," "Deja Vu," "Brutal," "All-American B***h," and more.
She recently received criticism when Rodrigo's team began handing out morning-after pills, condoms, and lubricants for free at her tour stops.
"The reality is that youth have sex, and youth need access to birth control and emergency contraception," said Jade Hurley, the communications manager for the DC Abortion Fund. "What we're doing is completely legal in all 50 states."
Rodrigo's team eventually ceased handing out the items following major backlash.
"It's disappointing that extremists are causing a moral panic over something they don't even understand," Hurley told Variety. "They don't know the difference between emergency contraception [like Plan B] and the abortion pill, which are two completely different things."
