Just in case you forgot, the Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxxis also skilled in the art of hip-hop.
It's been four years since Foxx has dropped any new music, but his new collaboration with 2 Chains and DJ Mustard, "Party Ain't A Party," is well worth the wait. The song was only posted to YouTube yesterday (Sept. 13), so there's plenty of time for the single to catch on with fans. Foxx shows off his superb vocals during a break at the 2:45 mark in the video below, but he's mostly rapping a catchy chorus throughout the song that gives the track major club appeal.
Foxx worked with a variety of talent on his last album, 2010's Best Night Of My Life, which had the artist teaming up with Justin Timberlake on "Winner," Rick Ross on "Living Better Now," Ludacris and Soulja Boy on "Yep Dat's Me," Drake on "Fall For Your Type" and Wiz Khalifa on the title track.
On the movie side of his career, Foxx has recently starred in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as villain Electro and he appeared in Seth McFarlene's A Million Ways To Die In The West. According to the actor's IMDb page, Foxx will be reprising his role as Dean "Motherfucker" Jones in Horrible Bosses 2, due out Nov. 26, and starring in an adaptation of Annie, scheduled for a Dec. 19 release. Foxx is also rumored to be attached to the screen adaptation of the Reginald Lewis book Why Should White Guys Have All The Fun?, which is about Lewis' life as one of the first African American Wall Street billionaires.
Foxx reportedly hit the studio in 2013 to work on a new album, but no release date has been set.
