Ahead of his new tour, Liam Gallagher spoke candidly about his health battles that put him on a downward slide.
The former Oasis frontman sat down for an interview with The Sun to promote his new tour and revealed the health issues he has been facing for years.
Liam Gallagher Reveals Health Issues
In 2023, Gallagher underwent hip replacement surgery as his arthritis - caused by Hashimoto's disease he also has - damaged a joint. He was diagnosed with the health condition in 2017.
On top of these issues, the "Wonderwall" hitmaker also battles psoriasis.
"You've got to undo all the bad work you've done through f------ getting off your head and all that. It's time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days. It's time to get healthy," he told the news outlet.
Gallagher added, "As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean. When you are younger you don't care. But as you get older, you're getting closer to wherever you're meant to be going. I'm definitely on the downwards slide, though. But we're all going to die, aren't we?"
The "Don't Look Back in Anger" singer also shared his fear of mortality, saying that he often wants answers regarding his future.
Gallagher's early years of career were filled with his drug and alcohol lifestyle. Even when he reached his 40s, he reportedly found it hard to only have one drink.
But due to his health condition, he decided to make a change by exercising around his neighborhood.
"All the partying and all that, it's like, do all that and then back on the health trip and feel good about life and live in the moment," he went on.
