Diddy Unaware of Homeland Security Agents' Raid Amid Legal Headaches: Source

Did Diddy know the Homeland Security agents would be raiding his Los Angeles and Miami homes?

Some suspected that Diddy was prepared to leave before the authorities launched raids on his residences, but sources claimed the embattled rapper had no idea about the Monday searches.

Diddy Had No Idea About the Raids

RadarOnline.com cited TMZ sources who claimed Diddy was not tipped off regarding the planned raids. His team was also left in the dark regarding the move.

For what it's worth, the Department of Homeland Security led simultaneous raids while the "Last Night" rapper was not at any of his homes. He was later spotted at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport for a pre-planned trip.

"Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners," said HSI. "We will provide further information as it becomes available."

Meanwhile, former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Banfield that Antigua - where Diddy's personal jet was tracked - would not be the best place to flee to if the Bad Boy Records founder indeed fled.

What's the Latest on Diddy's Issue?

After the raids, Diddy's attorney told NBC News that the rapper or any of his family members were arrested in the searches he described as "gross overuse of military-level force."

"There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated," Dyer said. "Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. [Mr. Combs is innocent] and we will continue to fight every single day to clear his name."

Diddy has been slapped with accusations from different accusers, including Casandra Ventura - his former romantic partner. According to Cassie, Diddy physically and sexually abused her for years, so she used the New York Adult Survivors Act to file a civil lawsuit against him.

They settled the lawsuit the following day, but three other women shared similar experiences they had with the rapper. Two of the alleged victims were teenagers when the assault reportedly happened.

"Enough is enough. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy," Diddy told Rolling Stone when the fourth accuser broke her silence. "Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday."

He continued, "Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth."
