Hailey Bieber shared to her Instagram followers Friday that she is listening to Beyonce's newly released country album, Cowboy Carter, but some netizens think that she may be sending a veiled message.
On the one hand, Bieber is seen as promoting and supporting Queen Bey's new release, but on the other, a cloud of speculation hangs over her intentions, with some suggesting she may be shading Selena Gomez.
As per Pop Crave, Justin Bieber's wife shared a screenshot of Beyonce's version of Dolly Parton's classic "Jolene" with the caption "Whew" and an angry emoji exhaling.
Some fans seem to think she is reigniting her feud with the "Single Soon" singer, since the song is about a woman warding off another woman from her man.
"She forgot to tag Selena Gomez," one wrote, on X (formerly Twitter).
"Free Selena from this obsessed insecure woman," noted another.
"Oh, she def knew what she was doing," was the opinion of yet another.
Beyonce Releases Her Version of Dolly Parton's ' Jolene'
"Jolene" was released by Parton in 1973; several artists have covered it, but Beyonce has actually made her own spin on it.
"I wrote that [song] years ago when my husband ... was spending a little more time with Jolene than I thought he should be," the country music legend recalled about the song's inspiration, Good Housekeeping reports.
"I put a stop to that. I got rid of that redhead woman in a hurry ... Had it not been for that woman, I would never have written 'Jolene' and I wouldn't have made all that money, so thank you, Jolene."
Meanwhile, according to reports, Beyonce's version of "Jolene" includes slight changes to the lyrics; instead of singing, "I'm begging of you please don't take my man," she sings, "I'm warnin' you, don't come for my man."

Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez's Feud
It is unclear whether the model is shading Gomez with her Instagram post -- or if she is shading anyone at all.
However, fans point to the pair's years-long feud over the "Baby" hitmaker.
But they seemingly mended their rift and put the alleged feud behind them in 2022.
In fact, according to People magazine, Bieber and Gomez posed for a picture together, and the model claims that it is "all love" between them.
