Did Jennifer Lopez Carry Diddy's Gun Before Infamous 1999 Shooting? FBI Will Reportedly Reinvestigate

Amid all the legal troubles Diddy is currently facing, the FBI is reportedly looking into an already supposedly closed case.

Could this add more to the legal troubles Diddy is facing?

Feds To Reopen Close Case Involving Diddy, Jennifer Lopez?

Allegedly, the Feds are now very keen on re-examining if Diddy indeed had Jennifer Lopez carry his pistol during the infamous Shyne nightclub incident in 1999.

The update follows The New York Post's earlier report, which stated that law enforcement sources had informed the publication that, following Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones's sexual assault lawsuit, police may look into the event again.

According to Rod's lawsuit, Diddy "shared that he was responsible for the shooting in the nightclub in New York" and that "Mr. Combs' girlfriend at the time, Jennifer Lopez, aka JLo, carried the gun into the club for him and passed him the gun after he got into an altercation with another individual."

Michael Discioarro, a criminal defense lawyer in New York, stated: "They got eyes on him in Miami and the feds are talking to witness after witness. They're corroborating everything they can. But everything past and present is on the table with Mr. Diddy right now."

1999 Shooting Case Back In The News

In December 1999, Combs, Lopez, Shyne, and Diddy's bodyguard Anthony "Wolf" Jones were all arrested for a nightclub shooting in New York that left three bystanders wounded.

But though Combs, Lopez, and Jones were all released, Shyne, who was a young protege of Diddy's, received a 10-year prison sentence, sparking rumors that he was set up to take the fall for the incident.

One of the three individuals shot during the altercation, Natania Reuben, insists Combs shot her that evening and has made a fresh complaint in the last several days.

"I literally watched them pull out the guns, I had a clear point of view. I mean, for God's sake, I got shot in my nose. I was facing them directly. I watched everything occur and have described it, vehemently to all parties involved," Reuben said during a recent appearance on NewsNation's Elizabeth Vargas Reports. "I have nine bullet fragments remaining in my face."

She is reportedly prepared to do whatever it takes to substantiate her claims.

The most recent development in the case comes after authorities raided Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Miami last week.

Although the precise reason for inspecting Combs' properties is still unknown, federal officials told Forbes that the searches result from an "ongoing investigation."

Before the searches, Combs was mentioned in several lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct; he has refuted all of the charges.

Aaron Dyer, the lawyer for the Bad Boy mogul, described the action as a "gross overuse of military-level force."

Combs was a producer on Lopez's successful debut album, On The 6, and they began dating in 1999 while working on her album. The couple separated in 2001, with Lopez later citing Combs' infidelity as the reason.
