Shakira's Relationship With Actor Lucien Laviscount Reportedly Confirmed — But Singer's Friends Are Worried

Shakira has reportedly found love again with British actor Lucien Laviscount, but her pals are said to be worried about the relationship.

The Daily Mail received a tip about Shakira's dating status with Laviscount, who appeared in her "Punteria" music video. The source said the pair had already begun their dating phase, but not everyone is happy about it.

Shakira's New Beau Might Only Be Using Her

According to the insider, Shakira and Lucien are "together, but not heavily involved." Still, it sparked concern among her friends who believe the actor is only in the relationship for fame.

"Shakira is desperate to fall in love -- but her friends are concerned because Lucien has slowly crept his way up the celebrity ladder while dating women who were all less famous than Shakira," the source explained. "The women he has been with are all very different. Now he is seeing Shakira -- and she wants love. But her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that. They are seeing each other but are not heavily involved yet."

They also reportedly got worried as Shakira "is not over" her ex, Gerard Piqué, so she might only be using Lucien as a rebound.

Shakira and Lucien's representatives have yet to respond to the new buzz.

The pair first worked together in February in the music video where Lucien played her love interest. Days after the filming, dating rumors started because of their intimate outing in New York City.

Shakira Was Linked to Other Stars

Before Lucian, Shakira was also linked to Tom Cruise and Lewis Hamilton following her divorce. The Mission Impossible actor reportedly began pursuing her, but the Formula 1 driver reportedly won her heart.

"It was a huge dent to Tom's ego," the insider claimed. "It stung all the more because he considers Lewis a buddy."

However, Hamilton was later linked to Brazilian model Juliana Nalu after they were spotted cozying up.

In another news, Shakira sparked outrage when she commented on the Barbie movie and said her sons found it "emasculating." Fans immediately criticized the "Hips Don't Lie" singer for suggesting that women's success is only possible because of femininity.
