Unlike other artists, Megan Thee Stallion wants the creation process of her album to be publicized and get insights from her fans because some musicians prefer to work alone and keep things hidden before they announce a certain project. More recently, the rapper took to social media as she couldn't make her mind up over her next record.
According to Uproxx, the "Bongos" hitmaker held a live stream with her fans on Instagram, during which she contemplated whether to add more twerking songs to her album, as it became an iconic sound for her.
"I just remember how y'all used to really whack me for making pop-that-ass music," she first said, adding, "I really wanted to get on y'all's asses and show y'all how bad I can rap, so I really haven't been in touch with my roots. I'm tryna see if y'all wanna pop that ass."
Megan Thee Stallion New Album Update
Megan also opened up during the livestream that she's thinking of putting 14 songs on her next album but noted that recently, she had been recording songs "that's so good."
For the first 20 songs she recorded, the musician said the tone was more serious, as it was "straight rapping."
Later on, she was in a better mood, which made her record "feel-good-songs," until eventually, she got "in a ratchet mood" because the summer season was coming soon.
