It's been a week since Beyoncé released her new album, Cowboy Carter, and collaborated with some of the biggest country stars. Many stars have already commented on it.
More recently, the American Idol winner and one of the most influential country musicians, Carrie Underwood, expressed her feelings about the singer dabbling into the genre.
In an interview, the singer spoke with Yahoo! Entertainment, saying, "There is something for everybody now" regarding other musicians jumping from genre to genre.
"One of the great things about country music - and this is true for music in general - is that every genre has really just broadened itself," she added.
She further noted that if fans like the more traditional side of music, they would always have access to it, and if they want more pop tracks, they could easily find it.
"If you like things that can cross over into other genres, you can find something that you love-and it's all part of the same family," she says, adding that she always loves that idea.
Carrie Underwood's Thoughts on Beyoncé
Later in the interview, the musician opened up about musicians who jump from one genre to another to explore their sound. Some artists that she named were Beyoncé, Post Malone, and Jelly Roll.
Underwood said she loves those three musicians and other artists who do the same thing.
She adds: "They kind of weave in and out of different genres of music, and I think that's really cool."
According to Taste of Country, Underwood herself experimented with sound while exploring other genres outside of country music.
She released a Christmas-centered album titled My Gift and later dropped a gospel record called My Savior.
In addition, she likes rock music, as Underwood has already collaborated with some of the most legendary musicians around, such as Guns N Roses, Joan Jett, and more.
