Since the recent Ray Rice domestic violence ordeal, the NFL has tightened up on anyone or anything related to the league, even the music players listen to.
According to ESPN, the Tennessee Titans are facing some scrutiny over lyrics of a song being played to pump the players up before game time.
The team reportedly played a remix to Migos' "Fight Night" featuring Plies, Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, T-Pain, Woop, D. Blake and Mike Smiff.
"Hit it with the left, hit it with the right, I'm a knock the p---- out like fight night. Beat it with the left, beat it with the right, I'm a knock the p---- out like fight night," the group's members rap on the song's chorus.
While the lyrics refer to sex, XXL notes that unfamiliar ears could easily interpret the song differently with beliefs that the song eludes to actual violence against women.
Titans Vice President of Administration and Facilities, Don MacLachlan, issued a statement on the team's playlist saying, "We review everything we play on game days and play radio versions, but clearly with the subject matter included, the song should have been flagged and eliminated from the playlist."
The Baltimore Ravens cut former running back Ray Rice last week after video of him punching his then-fiancée in an Atlantic City elevator surfaced.
Aside from the NFL, fans of the Atlanta trio seem to like the song "Fight Night."
As previously reported, the group recently landed their first Billboard top 20 entry thanks to the song.
The No Label 2 cut jumped 21-19 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. "Fight Night" pushed 22-18 on Rap Digital Songs. Streaming surpassed 1.1 million domestic clicks with 525,000 YouTube views.
