Taylor Swift took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (April 10) to showcase multiple limited-edition versions of her forthcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, which are available for 48 hours only.
A visit to her official site reveals that the "Special Edition Products are back until 4/12/24 at 2PM EST *While supplies last" and the number of options will make your head spin, with several different versions of the album available in a number of different configurations.
First, there are four different "Collector's Edition Deluxe CDs," priced at $17.99, with four different covers and bonus tracks. Those songs are: "The Albatross," "The Bolter," "The Black Dog" and "The Manuscript," only the CD with the last track was "not available" when we visited the site.
The cover for the version with "The Albatross" appears to show Swift wearing a white top at the beach. "The Bolter" version has a photo of her laying down with her head cradled on her arm. "The Black Dog" edition has a black cover with a photo of Swift holding the top of her head with one hand and her chin with the other, while "The Manuscript" version shows her laying on her back in bed, with mostly her torso visible.
There are also three "Special Edition Vinyl" versions of the album, with three different covers and bonus tracks -- "The Albatross," "The Bolter" and "The Black Dog" -- priced at $34.99.
For those who prefer cassettes, Taylor has you covered with three cassette versions, which shared the cover art and bonus tracks with the vinyl releases, priced at $19.99.
While the clock at the top of the site is ticking, Swifties interested in the special editions may want to act quickly, as some versions are already sold out.
The Tortured Poets Department is set for release on April 19.
