Machine Gun Kelly has been a famous musician for years, so many people are wondering why he never got the chance to be part of any Coachella lineup. More recently, the rapper/pop-punk artist shared a possible explanation, but fans beg to differ.

Amid this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held annually in Indio, CA, the musician took to his official X account to share why he never attended the festival, saying he got banned.

"never been to a coachella, they banned me in 2012 for whatever reason," he wrote.

It seems like the "Emo Girl" hitmaker is prioritizing something more important lately, as he explained: "I was looking forward to finally going this year but my daughters volleyball tournament ended up on the same days so yall will have to lmk how it is, she comes first."

As of this writing, organizers of Coachella have yet to address Machine Gun Kelly's sentiments.

Machine Gun Kelly Triggered Coachella As Discovered by Fans?

Although MGK claimed that the festival banned him for no apparent reason, there were eagle-eyed fans who immediately dug into his old posts and discovered that there was one tweet he shared in the past that might have triggered why he was never invited to perform.

"Coachella is a huge joke. Its corporate as f*** and they only accept the accepted but fake like they dont. Sad that music is so trendy now," he wrote in April 2012. (via Uproxx)

Machine Gun Kelly Updates

The recent news comes after the singer gave an update about his new tattoo that covered most of his upper body.

In a video shared on his official Instagram account, MGK revealed that the blackout tattoo was the "most painful s*** I've ever experienced in my life."

Throughout the clip, he shared behind-the-scenes footage of his long tattoo sessions, and in one moment, his skin bled because of how intense they were.

He debuted his new body art in February, revealing that he did it for "spiritual purposes only" but never gave any explanation.

Megan Fox seemingly shared more details about the tattoo during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying her ex-fiancée had issues with his previous body art that affected him emotionally. He didn't want to re-visit those memories, so he covered them up with a massive one.
